2015 Open Night

Fitness and co-ordination exercises are always a hit in the Gym on Open Night.

The annual Nagle College Open Night was held on Wednesday 6 May, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Past, present and prospective families are invited to attend this event to see the College in action, experience some hands-on activities, and generally learn more about the College.

Supper is served! Handmade goodies are a treat in the Fermoy Food & Technology Centre.

Throughout the evening the College provides a free sausage sizzle for staff, students and visitors, served in the Valdocco Food Court (outside the Canteen). Also on offer is the sumptuous supper, prepared by our senior Food and Technology students and served in the Fermoy Food and Technology Centre. Both these catering options provide opportunities for visitors to take a relaxed break during their explorations and to see more of what the curriculum has to offer.

Visitors of all ages are enthralled at the experiments in the Domenic Savio Science Centre.

Many of the learning areas provide demonstrations and interactive displays, allowing visitors of all ages to try their hands - and skills - at whatever is on offer, from science experiments to making key tags to learning a new language.

Year 9 students strutted their talents in a modern take of 'Romeo & Juliet'.

Students in the Performing Arts areas are always willing to put on a show for the visitors, and this year we had a variety of ensemble and solo performances in both the music and drama areas. Visitors were treated to a modern take on Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Julet' performed in the Drama room, which was followed by open rehearsals from across the drama classes.

Open Night 2015 was a very successful event with a large number of families coming along to see what Nagle has to offer. Families who missed the opportunity to visit the College during Open Night are encouraged to book for a Talk and Walk Tour. These tours are held most Monday's, departing from Reception at 9:00 am.
