Australia at War Pilgrimage 2016

Pilgrims will be visiting the school at Villers Bretonneux as part of the Australia at War Pilgrimage 2016.

Following on from the Information Session that was held on 16 February, and the calling for Intentions of Participation in March, we are pleased to advise that this 'once in a lifetime experience' will be going ahead during the Term 1 holidays in 2016. Whilst the itinerary is yet to be finalised a copy of the proposed itinerary (as at April 2015) is attached for your information.

We are very excited to be re-introducing this Pilgrimage into the Nagle College calendar, with plans to conduct the tour every second year. 2016 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, whilst 2018 will be the centenary of the liberation of France from German occupation leading up to the end of the war on 11 November. It will also be 20 years since the first Gallipoli Pilgrimage was conducted, visiting France, Italy and Turkey.
