Fisher Brothers are Triathlon Champs

Congratulations to Year 12 Bosco student, Tom Fisher, for taking out the Under 19 division of the Australian National Cross Triathlon Championships held in Jindabyne on 24 February 2018.

Tom, a Riviera Triathlon Club member, raced amongst a high quality field of Australian and international compeititors. The event covered a 1500m swim, 30km mountain bike ride and a 10km trail run course. He also finished sixth overall in a field of elite and professional male athletes.

Tom also competed in the Australian National Aquathlon Championships on the Saturday afternoon, finishing third in his age group and first in the Australian title over the standard distance of a 2.5km run, 1km swim and 2.5km run.

Duncan Fisher, younger brother of Tom and in Year 9 Bosco, competed in the Sprint distance of the Aquathlon, winning his age division. Duncan did an amazing job to complete the course of 1.5km run, 500m swim, 1.25km run. Duncan then backed up by competing in the 5km Snowies Trail Run Festival on the Sunday.
