Nagle swimmers win gold at Gippsland carnival

The Nagle swim team finished third overall in the Gippsland Carnival in Sale behind Lavalla and Wonthaggi Secondary Colleges. After dominating proceedings in the East Gippsland carnival in Orbost, Nagle had 38 swimmers progress to the Gippsland level. Nagle relay teams won 6 events at Sale and will now have 23 swimmers compete at the State carnival in Melbourne early next term.The successful relay teams included the girls 14 yrs, boys 13 yrs, 14 yrs, 15 yrs and 16 yrs Freestyle teams, and the boys 14 yrs medley team. Individual swimmers to win gold medals in their events included Davide Colombo in his 50m freestyle, butterfly and backstroke, Ben Howden in his 50m breaststroke and 200m individual medley, Liam Nichols in his 50m and 100m freestyle, Ben Butling in his 50m breaststroke, 200m freestyle and 200m individual medley, Josh Seignoir in his 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle and 100m breaststroke, and Aaron East in his 50m breaststroke.
