Shooting Success

Overall Senior High Gun Conner Crane.

In wet, windy and cold conditions 27 Nagle students competed at the East Gippsland Field and Game Championships held at the Bairnsdale Club on 11 May. This year there were over 100 students from as far afield as Orbost through to Lilydale. In very tough conditions our students shot well in the first round. Some of the standouts were Conner Crane, William Bagnato, Caleb Ahchow and Kallam Orchard.

At the end of the second round there was a four way tie with William Bagnato and Conner Crane taking part of the shoot off for Overall High Gun (best score for the day). Conner held his nerve and won overall high gun with William coming 2nd in senior boys. For some students this was their first ever shooting event and it was an enjoyable and educational day for them. Thanks to the parents for all the help on the day and for the excellent behaviour of the students.
