Emiliqua East

Where are they now?

Name at Nagle: Emiliqua East // Name now: Emi East // Graduating Year: 2017 // Nagle House: Avila

June 2019: Emi continues to achieve great results with her whipcracking exploits. It was reported in local papers that Emi won the Australian Whip Crackers and Plaiters Association's Australian Ladies Whipcracking title at the 2019 Sydney Royal Easter Show. This achievement was only weeks after Emi impressively took out second place in the World Bullock Whip titles, finishing just 7 points behind the champion. Emiliqua has had a busy start to the 2019 year with appearances at the Man From Snow River Bush Festival in March where she performed in front of thousands of people over four days. The year started with a trip to Los Angeles in January as an invited 'whip artist' at the World Whip Cracking titles, where she ran third. She also competed in February at the Victorian Titles, winning the Victorian Ladies Champion, adding to the Tasmanian Ladies Champion she won in late 2018. After her success in Sydney, Emi then attended the morning ANZAC Service in Ensay, cracking a rendition of 'Waltzing Matilda'.

Congratulations to Emi East on taking out two titles at the Royal Hobart Show in 2018 for her whip cracking. Emi won the Champion Lady, the Open Bullock Whip and was overall runner-up for accuracy in the Tasmanian Whipcracking Titles. Emi was also invited to travel to America in January 2019 as the feature whip artist at the World Whipcracking Titles as part of the Los Angeles Whipcracking Convention. This is excellent news for Emi who continues to live her dream as well as the Nagle College motto - Let Your Light Shine.
