Programs: Learning Pathways / Careers
Year 10 Pathways Program
The Pathways Program is offered to Year 10 students and takes place during Senior Assembly periods across the year. Students are divided into their House groups and a teacher is appointed as their mentor. The mentor will not only take the group through a number of career-based activities, but will work with the students individually as they make decisions about Years 11 and 12 and beyond.
Work Experience is an opportunity for young people to gain experience in a working environment. Participating in a work placement allows students to 'test drive' an occupation that sounds interesting to them. At Nagle College, work experience is usually undertaken during Year 10 during school holidays. Work Placements are a compulsory part of the VCAL program for Year 11 and 12 students. All VP (Vocational Preparation) students undertake Work Experience in Year 10.
