
Education Maintenance Allowance - Second Instalment
The Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is provided by the Victorian Government to low-income families to help with education-related costs.
If you have a child under 16, and hold a valid Health Care Card or Pension Card as at 16th July, 2012 you are eligible to receive the EMA. Students turning 16 during 2012 will be paid pro-rata.
The allowance is split evenly between the parent and the school, and is paid in two instalments, one in March and one in August.
Applications for the second instalment close 3rd August, 2012.
A copy of the applicants Health Care Card or Pension Card MUST be submitted with the application.
If you have claimed the first instalment at the College you will automatically receive the second payment unless you are no longer eligible.
