Nagle College Year 7-8 girls super 8 cricket team recently won the East Gippsland competition and progressed to Melbourne to compete in the finals. Winning teams from the 16 regions from around the State were all involved. The Nagle girls won each of their three pool games during the day, scoring the most runs by any school and finishing in first place on the ladder.

Nagle entered three teams in the East Gippsland Secondary Schools Yr 9-10 Super 8 Cricket competition played in Bairnsdale. The Nagle A boy's team won each of their pool games and played Orbost in the final. Nagle finished with 4/167 off their 8 overs compared to Orbost's 8/127. The Nagle girls team also recorded an overall win over LAkes Entrance.

Nagle competed with 22 bowlers in the CAS Lawn Bowling Championships in Melbourne. Several pairs made it through to the quarter finals with Ty Hinchliffe and David Wright narrowly missing a place in the final after they were narrowly defeated in the semi final in the Senior boys. Ty and David returned with the bronze medal after winning the play off for third place.

Nagle athletes in Melbourne |

Nagle College recently competed in the Catholic All Schools Athletics carnival conducted at Olympic Park in Melbourne. Nagle took 46 athletes and returned with 21 individual medals. Three relay teams also picked up bronze medals in a great team effort.

Nagle intermediate netball team won all their games in the preliminary round in the Victorian Schoolgirls Netball Championships played in Melbourne in the first week of August. The Nagle team then participated in the finals played in September and unfortunately only won two of their nine games at this level of competition.

Nagle competed for the first time ever in this years CAS Volleyball Championships in Melbourne. We entered a team in the Yr 9-10 girls division and finished third overall after bowing out in the semi final to Penola College, Broadmeadows.
